用Windows作業系統拯救宏碁筆記型電腦的隱藏磁區 - Rescue Acer's Laptop Hidden Partition

前言

俺會發這篇是因為最近想把日漸行緩的宏碁法拉利1000洗腦

並將內建的正版Windows XP 換成 Windows 7 或 Linux Fedora 14

但因為重新切割硬碟等凡是會動到Master Boot Record (MBR) 的行為

無論有否刪除或動到隱藏磁區都將會使硬碟對硬碟 (D2D) 系統還原功能失效

若真如此，D2D 的Alt + F10 開機指令將會毫無作用

因此俺開始尋找就算更動 MBR 也能安全的還原到隱藏磁區的作業系統


Preface
The reason why I am writing this is because I have been thinking of formating my Ferrari 1000

and replace preinstalled Windows XP to something else for better performance.

However I could not do it earlier due to the worrisomeness of loosing the orginal XP,

which hides inside the hard disk. Regardless how the hard disk is modified,

even if the hidden partition remains untouched,

Acer D2D recovery function will no longer work once MBR is changed.

Thus I started and reading to findout a way to safely intall other operating system

without destroying the original OS.

1. An untouched Acer Hidden Partition

2. ParTEDIT32

3. A working Windows OS (Any version)


救援動作

1. 首先在開機時進入BIOS (開機畫面下按 F2) 把D2D功能關閉

2. 接著以管理員身分登入 Windows 並啟動 ParTEDIT32

3. 此軟體會列出硬碟所有的磁區，以磁區大小判斷找出哪個是隱藏磁區

(通常隱藏磁區約為 2GB ~ 6GB 上下不等 - 內含作業系統與驅動程式及軟體)

4. 找出來後將磁區類別 (Type) 修改成 0C (FAT32X)並儲存離開

5. 重新開機後以管理員身分再度進入 Windows 就會看到名為 PQservice 的隱藏磁區顯現出來了

6. 在隱藏磁區找出 mbrwrdos.exe (俺的情況是 mbrwrwin.exe) 和 rtmbr.bin 兩個檔案

7. 開啟指令 cmd 並輸入 mbrwrdos.exe install rtmbr.bin 將會重新覆寫 MBR

8. 重新開機並再次進入 BIOS， 開啟 D2D 功能後再次重新開機即可使用 Alt + F10 系統還原功能


Rescue Actions
1. Boot and enter BIOS (Press F2 at startup screen) and turn offD2D function

2. Login exisiting Windows as Administrator and run ParTEDIT32

3. The software will list all partitions on the disk, find out the hidden partition by size (2GB ~ 6GB)

4. When hidden partition is found, change the partition type to 0C (FAT32X) then save and exit

5. Reboot and back to Windows with Administrator account,

hidden partition will appear with name "PQservice".

6. Find mbrwrdos.exe (In my case, mbrwrwin.exe) and rtmbr.bin in the hidden partition

7. Run cmd and address these two files with command: mbrwrdos.exe install rtmbr.bin

(This action will overwrite the MBR record back to Acer default)

8. Reboot and access BIOS again to enable D2D function, Alt + F4 function will work after reboot.
